In recent times, Canada has prolifically performed as a developed nation. There has been tremendous success witnessed in the service sector, manufacturing sector, and Information Technology sector with new start-ups, corporate offices, and emerging companies in the industry. The demand is huge, especially in the IT sector in provinces like Ontario, which has attracted many international talents.

There are vast generalizations and some economic justifications as to why such an upward swing has been witnessed in the Canadian job market, with salaries being increased and employment opportunities being enhanced in almost every Canadian job market sector.

If you don’t have a Canadian job offer in hand, then you should not fret. Canada wants skilled and experienced professionals to relocate and help with the economic scenario of the country. It is good to have a job offer in hand, but it is not mandatory.

The first step for immigration to Canada is to check if you are eligible for Canada’s Permanent Residency(PR) status by using the Comprehensive Ranking System tool. For this, the candidate can help a good immigration consultancy service that is reliable and experienced.

Getting the Permanent Residency(PR) status also becomes more comfortable as the candidate has the employment letter from a Canadian employer and can earn extra points for arranged employment in the application through the Express Entry system of immigration.

The rest of the steps for Immigration is as follows:

  • Check eligibility for Canada’s Permanent Residency(PR) status through the Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) tool and see if you meet the eligibility requirement and the language proficiency score for you to qualify for the PR status.
  • Undertake the IELTS examination for language proficiency and aim for a decent score.
  • Login with WES (World Education Services) and get Educational Credential Assessment(ECA) done.
  • Create Express Entry profile and apply for the Permanent Residency(PR) status.
  • After receiving the ITA (Invitation to apply), submit the documents including medical record, police verification, work experience letter, proof of funds, etc.
  • Pay Permanent Residency (PR) fee.

Selecting the National Occupation Classification (NOC) Category

Apart from the above procedure, the candidate should carefully choose the NOC category for employment opportunities in the job profile. National Occupation Classification (NOC) is Canada’s National System of elaborating on the occupations concerning every job’s responsibilities. The NOC creates groups based on your job duties and skill type. For immigration purposes, the main job types are Skill level) O for managerial jobs, Skill level A for professional employment, and Skill Level B for technical jobs.

What are the Options if one is Unable to get a Job Offer Letter from a Canadian Employer?

Getting an offer letter from a Canadian employer can speed up the process of immigration for the candidate. But it is not mandatory to have a job letter from a Canadian employer to immigrate to Canada.

  • Some of the provinces don’t even want a job letter for immigration. In the occupation in-demand list and Express Entry sub-categories, Saskatchewan doesn’t require a job letter from the candidate for immigration.
  • Nova Scotia only wants your occupation in demand in the province but doesn’t require a job letter from the candidate.
  • Manitoba doesn’t require a job letter from the candidates for immigration in the skilled worker’s category.
